On January 26, 2025, an important meeting dedicated to the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was held at Al-Xorazmiy University. During the event, the key ideas outlined in the President’s Address regarding Uzbekistan’s socio-economic development, future priority areas, as well as the development of youth and science, were widely discussed.

In his Address, the President placed special emphasis on the most important priority directions to be implemented in 2026, defining strategic approaches to the country’s economy, social sphere, education system, and youth policy.

The Address also highlighted the following: “By 2030, we have set an ambitious goal to increase IT services exports to 5 billion US dollars.” In the coming year, four data centers, two supercomputers, and artificial intelligence laboratories in 15 higher education institutions will be launched in Tashkent city, Bukhara, Fergana, and Tashkent region. These initiatives will enable the implementation of more than 100 artificial intelligence projects in key sectors such as healthcare, transport, agriculture, geology, banking and finance, and public safety.

Today, thousands of talented young people are engaged in research in IT and artificial intelligence. To put their engineering projects in areas such as quantum technologies, drones, and robotics into practice, a “Digital Technologies Center” will be established.
“Today, I would like to share another important piece of news. For the first time in the history of independent Uzbekistan, we have begun work to launch a satellite in the space sector and to send the first Uzbek cosmonaut, a citizen of our country, into space. I am confident that this will give a powerful impetus to the scientific and technological development of New Uzbekistan and elevate our national progress to a new stage,” said the President.

During the meeting held at Al-Xorazmiy University:

• employees and faculty members held discussions based on excerpts from the President’s Address;
• ways to integrate the priority directions outlined in the Address into the university’s strategies for education, scientific research, and innovation were discussed;
• it was decided to organize briefings on the opportunities, social programs, and career development prospects identified by the President for the younger generation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants gained renewed motivation and inspiration to actively contribute to the development of society and the state.
